Apparantly you love to sit around and watch meaningles videos all day on a tablet, instead of getting actual work done, as you would have realize my comment was in regards to the native E-Mail client still not available for the PlayBook. Obviously Flash is a much more important tool for getting things done in the real world. I can't recall a single time I needed Flash on my iPad, so I am still at a loss as to why you and a couple of others created accounts on here JUST to argue about Flash.
You have already stated you don't have an iPad. So why are you here? Why troll around these message boards arguing with EVERYONE who simply tries to answer a question for a user here?
There is no Flash, there never will be Flash, 99.999% of the iPad users don't care, and you don't like it. Get over it already. Geesh. Find a new hobby.
Your comment also referred to Flash, No I don't have an iPad anymore but I still have an iPhone
No I dont sit around watching Video, and if you think Flash is just about Video, then it shows just how much you are missing with your iPad!
People on here well The Fanboys don't simply answer a question the are arrogant and childish convincing themselves that the iPad isn't restricted.. No Flash, No USB, No Card reader. OK
Now I said many posts back it was my Last, this one is , and it don't matter how many Fanboys keep replying and keeping this dead topic open.
You should notice its the Fanboys arguing and keeping this going, you have a restricted device, stop trying to convince yorselves otherwise, let it drop
No I don't have an iPad anymore but I still have an iPhone
And you're in the iPad forums, why again?
if you think Flash is just about Video, then it shows just how much you are missing with your iPad!
Name 3 sites that most users without Flash are "missing".
The Fanboys don't simply answer a question the are arrogant and childish
It was answered in the first response:
Hi: Adobe has not created a version of Flash for any iOS devices.
No Flash, No USB, No Card reader. OK
Don't need, don't need, can't fathom why most users would need. OK?
its the Fanboys arguing and keeping this going
It's the FanDroids who argue. You don't like the correct answers and make up your own stories why it's not available on an iOS device, and why Adobe will be laying off 700 people who couldn't get a plug-in to work correctly in over 5 years.
Farewell.
please just give us flash , like now .
great website http://www.ariacharts.com.au/pages/charts_display_singles.asp?chart=A001CSSAW001 001Y
you can play music direct from the charts but actually you cant if like me you got burnt by apple.
i so want a galaxy and cannot stand the outrageous arrogance of apple refusing to support the internet as a whole

'nuff said.
Some people on here are ignorant to that fact and think no useful websites use flash, BBC news ITN news SKY news all use flash, they do have their own apps but the apps are limited to what news they think you want to read about, never mind let them all keep convincing themselves it's ok!! Also this digital world, camera's etc you'd think it would have some sort of connectivity.
i was at work checking out the aria chart and there media player that enable syou to play the charts top 50
with video
so good so first thing i did was show my son the website on his ipad2 i ha dbought him and it didnt work.
that real world problem that is not acceptable , if i am allowed a refund i would take it in a second and buy
a better tablet .
i think the reality is if ythe ipad isnt playing web content then ipad users dont know and think everythings fine.
so spewing ove rapple and being sucked into assuming they would be the best when they cant even
get a browser to work properly.
Just remember than in a few years, even the "better" tablets will no longer have a mobile Flash player since Adobe has made the official decision to stop developing mobile Flash. The long-term solution is to support and encourage web sites that do not need Flash, because they will be ahead of the game as Flash mobile players stop being updated.
Since you can connect both an SD card and the camera via USB directly to the iPad, it does have "connectivity".
You can also output to HD TV via HDMI cable, SD TV via the composite cable and VGA output to connect to projectors, monitors, whatever.
but the apps are limited to what news they think you want to read about, never mind let them all keep convincing themselves it's ok!!
I agree. They should put all of their content on there. But that's not Apple's fault. That is the 3rd party's fault. You should contact them.
if i am allowed a refund i would take it in a second and buy a better tablet .
Then go get a refund. No one is stopping you, least of all Apple. Apple allows refunds. If you bought it from a store that doesn't allow refunds, then that's your problem, not Apple's.

HA!! This is the site you are basing your flash comments on? This is quite funny. It's all flash advertisements. The player barely works at all, even on a PC, let alone my Mac. Go watch this on your new Galaxy and tell me how long your battery lasts. This is the experience I am "missing" on my iPad?
"I wouldn't say I've been mising it"
(update: about 10 min ago, I just gave my opinion, and the higher ups not only were in agreement with me, but were going to can me [maybe they were just joking] if I suggested otherwise. Funny how things work out.) I have been asked to advise a board on how many new systems to purchase and what kinds of systems they should be. Now I am trying to be objective, despite the fact that I have an iphone which fell apart in less than 2 years, which apple refused to fix, and despite the fact that I have always resented that Apple will not allow Flash on their devices because they don't want to allow any real competition with their app store; yet, aside from what I have mentioned, there are many real business concerns.
I can't overlook that many of the applications currently in use for CRM, voice/video chat through the browser, white board conferencing in the browser, and online sales, and production all involve Flash to a very high degree. Much of this is stuff you cannot do in HTML5, and it will take years until browsers have anywhere near the same level of support or the same or similar advanced features.
I would also like to mention that I cannot overlook the poor performance that browsers supporting HTML5 happen to have on older systems. Open education initiatives in countries where a 633Mhz pentium III is the norm, cannot make any real use of HTML5 nor it's canvas tag; however, flash performs lightening fast. It's all up to whom you hire to develop the app, just like if it were an HTML5 app.
We have roughly 150 phones on contract that need upgrading, and 85 tablet systems that were requested I will, be advising (in fact if you read my update you will note that I just did, and I was applauded for it), that we choose the Android route. It's just the better decission right now.
Maybe if you drop the yearly licencing fees, or at least give us the Flash Player, then we can talk.
Another thing I must mention, is that I can develop pretty well in any language you throw at me (given a couple days to get my bearings); yet, I have always found Objective-c ugly ugly ugly.....ugly. Apple claims to be concerned about openness and performance, but they force people to pay for the right to develop apps that will be running in an interpreted sandboxed layer, on a system they paid for? That's not openness, that's a yearly cash grab; as well, by forcing (now just making it extremely difficult) them to use Apple branded computer systems to do it, it's an anti-competitive practice too.
Microsoft got sued for anti-competitive practices... I wonder when Apple's turn will come up?

They will, if there are ever any anti-competitive practices by Apple. I don't believe Apple is forcing themselves to buy their own OS with all of their applications to install on all of their computers with the threat of not allowing them to include their OS on any machine. That was what Microsoft's was charged with. Forcing hardware vendors to install only their OS on their machines, in the way MS wanted it, not the way the customers wanted it (i.e. Without Explorer) otherwise they would revoke their license for any MS Installations. Based on the multiple, rambling topics in your post, I'm not sure where the anti-competitive practice comes in. Or do you just think they should have charges brought up because of how many devices they sell, so they MUST be? Just a goofy rationalization.
But, I'm thrilled your business will be beta testing the Android platform and features in the enterprise, since most businesses are opting for iOS for enterprise deployments.
Firstly with regard to anti-competitive practices: Just 'cause Apple isn't doing the same exact thing, doesn't mean it isn't wrong. Be a big boy and don't try to sidestep the issue. You might want to stop typing random pro Apple responses, and actually thoroughly read a post or two. Apple has adamantly protested developers using other languages (e.g. java, as3, and even HTML5 using any of the various iphone packagers), other systems, and anything outside of the preferred Apple tool box.
Apple hates innovation that isn't theirs, and that they can't control or make a profit from. Just another IBM/Microsoft in disguise. The only reason Steve Jobs hated IBM, is cause they had everything he wanted; yet, when he got it all, he became exactly the same, and tried to block competition. I have a questions for you... How many patent violations is Apple being sued for? How many settlements has it had? I know they just paid $5 million just a couple days ago, and it's not the first time.
Secondly: We have already done the beta testing; thus, my recommendation. Everything deploys very well. We do throw HTML5 into the mix now and then when it's suitable; yet, since AS3 is able to do so much more right now, and we actually need the features we already implemented, instead of having to re-develop and re-deploy, HTML5 doesn't get used for much more than research right now. And deployment times are so much faster when you take Objective-c out of the loop.
In truth I can't wait till all browsers have Flash's capabilities built in; yet, until then I will have to use Flash, and we will have to purchase systems that use it too.

You best not hold your breath if you are referring to Flash on mobile browsers since Adobe announced two months ago they were abandoning all Flash development for the mobile market and concentrating on Adobe AIR and HTML5 in that arena.
And the use of other toolsets was resolved over a year ago, you must have missed it. Java was never intended to be on any iOS device as was made clear when the first iPhone was released.
As far as Objective-c, you are by far in the minority if you are having problems with it.
But as you stated you need to do what is best for your enterprise so go with Android-based devices and post in Android forums.
'Apple has adamantly protested developers using other languages (e.g. java, as3, and even HTML5 using any of the various iphone packagers), other systems, and anything outside of the preferred Apple tool box'
'Apple hates innovation that isn't theirs'
Eh?
Have you ever tried putting a NIssan engine in a Ford and selling it as a new Ford? Or calling ANYTHING you want to market a Rolls-Royce? You would then find out just how zealously any business protects its product, and Apple surely is entitled to do that. Apple felt Flash would slow down iOS so much that it would damage the user-experience, there are apparently real security concerns in may non-Apple communities about using Flash, Adobe could not address these, so what would you have Apple do in trying to launch what has been a market-changing product. Adding extra lines of code to accomodate all the other technologies/hardware out there would cripple any small tablet, so they made a commercial decision to restrict some aspects of iOS.
Bottom line
1 Other tablet makers are trying to use Flash, add in SD readers etc. Good luck to them and I promise to keep off their forums
2 Adobe has abandoned Flash for tablets
