Within our extended family, many have bought iPads and iPhones. So far, 11 have reported good resuts. This app works for me also. So that makes 12.

What I find it simply amazing that you know 12 people with iOS devices that are concerned about Flash.

Or more likely you had to point it out to them as the 11 others didn't know or care.

For one thing, students in our families need flash to do their homework which is mostly online. Apple should have been honest in their advertising or helpful with finding a solution. All your proclaiming that there was no problem when it certainly was is straight up nuts. Judging by looks at this thread, it was a problem. I'm glad there was a solution that I could give family members and a couple of coworkers.

And yes, as a family we constantly complained about the waste of money it was buying an iPad. Next time out we won't be so quick to fall for Apple's hype.

Just to atone a bit, Michael had it right, this thread is miniscule compared to the number of iPads that have been sold and proves nothing. I know far more than 12 people with iPads and not one of them has ever complained about the lack of Flash (the minority that have usually found apps for the specific sites) and none have returned them. A couple have used the browsers/apps mentioned in this thread that were mentioned long before Jake came here.

I would suggest in the future you dedicate yourself to do research on any product you buy, not just items from Apple. And if you wait patiently you will have very few sites that you have to worry about running Flash. The war is over.

It was no secret that Flash was not supported, you failed to research your purchase and need someone to take responsibility for you. Adobe have announced (you did you catch it, right?) that they will no longer support Flash on any mobile device so this horse has gone.
