But he is, sadly, a Phillies fan... sometimes it's a fine line. 😁

He has noted before that his name is not because of baseball (hence Philly instead of Phillies).

It is because he is a fan of he city.

Yes. In fact, I was just about to make that clarification.

Don't misunderstand me. I do cheer for the Phillies/Eagles/Flyers but it's really the city that I love. I was born and raised there but I haven't been a legal resident since 1964. In the intervening years, I've lived coast-to-coast and border-to-border but have always called myself a Philadelphian.

I grew up outside the city, lived there for a while, moved to New Haven for 7 years and then came back. I can't imagine living anywhere else now. 🙂

Just reading some of the responses. The best are those complaining that Apple and IOS are too propiatary and won't work with Adobe to run (their proprietary) Flash software.

Other great comments from those buying an Asus or other tablet and saying Flash runs so well on it. My experience with other tablets running flash was ANYTHING but smooth, but mostly because of the crappy OS. Only sulution that I found work at all, if just well-enough was Windows 8 (which runs awesome) with Firefox and Flash. Still, none of the other tablets had the battery life of the iPad, or really felt as solid in the OS (Windows 8 was very close, but still a bit clunky for setttings and such).

Good times.

Flash is proprietary software?!?!?!? Actually, it's the opposite. Creating a piece of software that can run on different platforms and a multitude of devices is the polar opposite of your statement. By that logic every 3rd party software company that runs on "most" platforms has "proprietary" software.

A year from now this thread won't even matter anyway. HTML 5 will have made major crossroads into every part of the web.

If it is not proprietary please send me a link to the public source code, thank you.

Market share does not translate to "better" or even "more" apps. Also, notice how the iPad still has more than half the market share. Of course they are losing market share... the competitors have only recently started producing.

But how many people do you know who have a Droid tablet? I know 0. I know 0 people who know anyone who has a Droid tablet. I know 1 person (a very big Google fan) who ever considered buying one, the Xoom, but he saw the $800 price and gave up on it, saying that all tablets are useless.

I think customers are starting to disagree with you...

By the way, it IS next quarter, and they haven't captured the market 😝
