tilda above n on Czech keyboard

Hi,

I know that here are a lot of disccussions about special characters and diacritics. Everywhere I found that n with tilda for Spanish language is made by

Option+n, realese and n. But it does not work for me (also any other characters) I have new MacBook Pro 17 and I am new in that. I have Czech keyboard and when I am trying to write n with tilda, it writes comma and n after the combination mentioned above. Could anybody help me with my problem? Thank you very much in advance and Happy Easter to everybody.

Hi!

I tested both the Czech keyboard and the Czech QWERTY keyboard and none of them has the right tilde character.

What you can do is in the System preferences > Language and text > Input ...(forth button) check for other keyboards. Like the Spanish. Also check "Show input menu in the menubar" so you can switch between keyboards.

In the Menu bar you can now choose the keyboard you want so you can write the ñ. You press the Shift, Option/Alt and the keys will change and show the character
