Artwork Tab for TV Show Grayed Out
Not only is the artwork for season 4 of "Numb3rs" not showing, but the tab in the information window (command - I) for artwork is grayed out and not selectable. Any ideas on how to fix?

i'm having the same issue with season 6 of doctor who
i've noticed that the tv shows in question also don't show the purchase information in the info window. the following fields are missing:

FairPlay Version:
Purchase Date:
even though these were all bought from the itunes store. perhaps apple is doing something differently in the encoding of recent content that itunes has an issue with. at least it can play the epsidoes without any issues.
The rep that contacted me had me download the series again. It did nothing to fix the situation. Gave me a refund for the purchase and said they would pass on the issue. Told me to try again in a few days.
I downloaded another series from a different show (Secrets of the Dead) and the same thing happened. No artwork, tab grayed out.
I have also purchased music, these don't have any issues.
I did watch as I did both the repeat download and the new one. The artwork was there until the download completed, then it went blank.
I did not have issues seeing the purchase information for "Numb3rs", but since the second purchase has not been recorded, I can't say if it does or not.

Maybe they are moving everything to the NC facility?! And yes the episodes I have tried, do play.
Will post any progress.

i had the same experience - as the episode was downloading, the art was visible. now that it is done downloading, the art is gone.
I am experiencing this problem also. I downloaded some TV shows recently that are missing artwork. I sent an email to iTunes Store Customer Support. The response I received suggested that I re-download the TV shows. If artwork is available for them, then it would be downloaded; if not, then there was nothing that could be done. This response is of little use and I intend to get a better one.
Here's what I've learned:
1) My downloads showed artwork while downloading. The artwork was replaced by the generic iTunes TV Show icon after the downloads were processed. When I select one of the downloads, the artwork viewer says, "Drag Artwork Here." When I select "Get Info" for one of the downloads, the artwork icon on the "Summary" tab says, "No Artwork Available" and the "Artwork" tab is disabled. I think the artwork was downloaded though because my "Album Artwork" folder has increased in size since these downloads.
2) The "Get Album Artwork" feature does nothing to resolve this problem. Re-downloading does nothing either.
3) I used Quick Look on the "iTunes Library Music.xml" file and did notice something. These downloads are missing the line "<key>Artwork Count</key><integer>1</integer>," which all of my other downloads with artwork have.
4) I tried removing the TV shows from iTunes and keeping the files; I then re-added them to iTunes. This created a new problem by iTunes adding them as Movies and removing all of their information from the "Get Info" tabs.
5) I'm only experiencing this with TV shows. Music and podcasts show artwork. I'm not sure about movies, books and apps. I've tried to recreate this problem on an iPad 2, an iPod touch (3rd Generation) and another MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.6.7 and iTunes 10.2.2. I think there may be an issue with iTunes 10.2.2 because my downloads from the day before I upgraded are okay. All of my downloads from after upgrading are not.
I also came across another discussion that seems related:

I store my library on network-attached storage. I haven't tried downloading to my internal hard drive, so I'm not sure if this is a cause.
Wireless network storage IS the cause.
network storage sounds like the culprit. not necessarily wireless, though. my itunes media folder is on a drobo connected to my AEBS via USB. my iMac is connected to the AEBS via ethernet.

how do you redownload an itunes purchase? i wasn't aware that was possible.
It doesn't happen with external storage directly connected to the Mac.
If you ask iTunes support nicely, they'll let you re-download anything.
I assume that everyone's been using their external hard drive setups for awhile. I've been using mine for awhile and am only having this problem after upgrading to iTunes 10.2.2.
Did you recently upgrade iTunes? What version are you running?
yes, my airdisk library setup has been in place for quite a while. i recently updated to iTunes 10.2.2 as well.
Yes, for 3 years. Everything was fine until iTunes 10.2.2.
My setup is a NAS and always has been. No wireless, using ethernet.
Now that you folks have mentioned it, it has been since 10.2.2 that this has happened. But only with TV shows, not music. I have not downloaded any movies, so I don't know about them.
OK, so I downloaded the same free episode of Happy Endings to both my NAS and my internal drive iTunes Libraries. Both showed the icon as it was downloading, but only the internal drive icon remained after completion. I would suggest this is a bug introduced with 10.2.2 version of iTunes as this has never happened to me before.
