How can you make your iPad2 turn off automatically at a curtain time?

I need help with this because sometimes I leave my iPad on at night but I forget to turn it off. I was wondering if there is a way to turn your iPad off at a time you set it. So please answer if you know how.

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.2, iPad 2 3G

The kids know how to unlock it unfortunately, so I was looking for an App that shut it down after we set a timer of some sort (let's say 30 minutes in bed, then it powers down).

You can set the device to go to sleep, but you can not set it to shut off completely. To set the sleep time go to Settings>General>Auto Lock and then select the time before the iPad sleeps.

Once it goes to sleep the screen will turn black and you tap the home button it to wake it up then slide the lock to unlock the iPad.
