iPhoto 9.1.2 splitting events in iOS

Hello,

I upgraded yesterday to iPhoto 9.1.2 and after synching my iOS devices like I normally do with iTunes, I noticed my events in iOS are split into several events with the same name, but in iPhoto they show up as only one event.

For example I have an event in iPhoto labeled "Lake Tahoe 2009" and when I see events in my iOS devices (iPhone 4 and iPad 1) the event is split into:

All together they contain all the photos from that event, but I don't understand why it's splitting the event into so many. Some events are split into as many as 15 events with the same name all containing some photos of that event.

Moreover, when I see my device in iTunes, in the Photos section, I originally had it set to "Sync Photos from iPhoto - All photos, albums, events and faces". if I change it to "Selected albums, events, and faces" I get a list with all the duplicated events. (see screenshot)

You see all those repeated events? Again, in my iPhoto application, the events show up as a single one, instead of multiple copies with the same name and only a section of the photos.

This started happening when I updated to iPhoto 9.1.2

Hi

Here's my sequence of events: Like most I updated to 9.1.2 when it was released and discovered the split events issue. Came on here for clues how to fix it but downgraded to 9.1.1 from Time Machine back-up and everything then worked as it should.

Following this thread and some of the suggested 'fixes', namely the sorting of events 'solution' and then the confirm faces approach, I re-updated to 9.1.2. It fixed the problem temporarily but required me to go through the sorting or confirming process in iPhoto each time I wanted to sync my iTouch.

Updated to 9.1.3 and everything is behaving as it should. I've tested it several times - mucking about in iPhoto, updated a couple of apps, re-sync. All good. Did other re-syncs without touching iPhoto - no problems.

I've got my fingers crossed.

Hi Paul_31 and everyone,

Yes I've updated to 9.1.3 and all merged events are not split any more, Thanks. But just an aside, may be it has always been like that, I've noticed that the synced events in my iPad2 are not in the sequence as in iPhoto. I sort my events in iPhoto by Title, but the sequence in my iPad2 ( synced all photos and videos) seem to have a mind of its own and I just cannot figure out what logic sequence they are in.

The few selected synced events to my iPhones are also not in exact Title sequence, but because of just a few events, can tolerate the inconvenience.

Does anyone know how to get the events in iPad sorted? The Faces and Places seem OK though.

Esther
