Duplicate iPhoto events in iPhone/iPad sync

I'm getting duplicate iPhoto events showing up when I try to sync my iPhone and/or iPad. These events are not in duplicate in iPhoto itself. I have tried repairing the iPhoto database and it's file permissions. I have no idea why iTunes reads these events like so (see included screen shot). Any help would be appreciated; thanks in advance.

@jmorcos, francofornia, Diyan,

But does the solution "stick"? Some things to try:

  1. Without even opening iPhoto after the first successful sync in iTunes, sync the iOS device again. Is the events list still OK?
  2. Before syncing the iOS again after the first successful sync, open iPhoto and make a change unrelated to faces, e.g., assign a photo to a location, or import a photo. Then close iPhoto and sync the iOS device. Does iTunes still display the events list correctly?

Richard

And, I want to thank everyone on this thread, too. It was very comforting to know others were facing the challenge, trying new ideas and solutions and sharing them. And, no doubt, the discussion brought the issue to Apple's attention as well. It makes you feel like you're not alone out here in techno-land. I really appreciate everyone's involvement and will head to the threads when other issues surface. Thank you!
