How do I connect my iPad to a projector with a DVI connection?

I bought all the connections the store sold but nothing I now have will connect the iPad to the projector cable which has only a DVI. Is there a connector to get me from HDMI to DVI or perhaps from the component video RCA jacks to DVI? What is the best wa to go?

You should be able to connect the iPad's HDMI adapter to a DVI monitor/projector with an adapter or cable similar to the following:

http://www.amazon.com/Eforcity-Black-Meter-HDMI-Cable/dp/B000E8SY5Q/ref=sr_1_13? ie=UTF8&qid=1304382197&sr=8-13

Component, being an analog signal, and DVI & HDMI, being digital signals, requires a much more expensive converter to connect such devices. ($150-$500.) So you're best going with the HDMI adapter for the iPad and a HDMI male to DVI cable. (The DVI connector can be male or female, depending on what your projector needs. More than likely, the projector is female, so you'd need a HDMI-male to DVI-male cable.)
