Hello everybody,

I have got the same Problem, with freezing of Itunes as soon as i click on "Podcast" folder.

Specs are: Windows 7 Ultimate (64)

Itunes the latest on 10.2.2.14

I´ve got some kind of SOLUTION, if you click on "Podcast" folder and it freeze again, just let the Itunes open, and do other things. After a while 5-25 minutes Itunes works again as usual.

I found a possible workaround. Firstly cut off internet connection of your computer, then open iTunes, hit Podcasts tab, then iTunes will hang for a while but not complete freeze, delete suspected podcasts that may cause freeze, lastly reestablish internet connection.

I've been having the exact same problem that everyone else has described in this thread, using Win 7, 64bit, with iTunes 10.2.2.14, and this solution worked for me. Really hope they clear up this issue with the next update.

I was preparing to switch my whole library over to MediaMonkey or something like that because I mainly use my iPod for podcasts, so this issue was a huge roadblock for me. I really wanted to avoid doing so because, compared to everything I've looked into so far, iTunes really is the best way to subscribe to, organize, and download podcasts.

Thankfully, disconnecting from the web seems to help, though I can see it being an annoyance to remember to do this every time I sync (at least 2x daily for me).

First-world problems indeed 😁
