My Ipad 2 was Hang and i cannot switch OFF.. Anybody can suggest to solve the issue?

Hold down on the sleep button and the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen and then let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up.

my ipad2 was hang for a while. i tried to shutdwon, but it didn't work. It kept on looping. after i see your message, you have safe me. my ipad2 can restart now. thank you.
