How to make menu appear each time you played dvd created from idvd?

used imovie to make video then created dvd using idvd. The burned dvd just starts playing video and bypasses menu associated with the dvd. Also, the dvd begins playing where it was previously stopped.

That means your movie is in the Autoplay box in the Map View (box on the left). This is a frequent issue when you share a movie fom iMovie to iDVD. I save my iMovies to my desktop and then drag-and-drop them onto an iDVD menu (making sure NOT to drop them into a menu button).

I always suggest not going directly to writable media, but rather, to create a disk image file (.img) which is an option under FILE in iDVD. You can double-click on the disk image file to mount it on your desktop and play it with Apple's DVD Player application to make sure it does what you want. If it's OK, use Apple's Disk Utility to actually burn the disk image to writable media.

Also, the dvd begins playing where it was previously stopped.

This is a setting you must change in your DVD player/viewing application.

Hi

Under the project-window in iDVD there are three buttons

Walking man, black triangle and three small black boxes

The third with boxes alters the view to a design layout (box diagram)

• Top left box is the "Auto Play box"

Move Your movie out of this and into the second box to it's right.

Now You DVD will start with the Menu

That Your DVD starts where it was left off is a function in the DVD-player so that can not be altered in iDVD

by any setting to my know-ledge.
