Hi Bob,

I tried both process, and there's two differents errors.

With the Hard Reset the message still the same ( an error occurred joining the selected wireless network), and with the Other Configuration the message is: an error occurred while reading the configuration. Make sure your airport wireless device is plugged in and in range of your computer or connected via Ethernet and try again. (-6753)

But I'm doing this near by the airport, with the cable and The ethernet is working fine.

Last week, I went to the "My Store", here in Brazil, and at the store my Airport worked. The diference is in the store they use the airport as a wi-fi, in my house I use with the cable plugged in.

...

tks

If the AirPort Express works with your Mac at the store, but not at home, then there must be something that is interfering with the wireless signal between your Mac and the AirPort Express in your home.

Perhaps a cordless phone, or another nearby wireless network?

I do not know what else to suggest.

You might want to try Apple Support to see if they have other ideas:

I think could be this, I have near by the aiport a cordless phone, but I don't have a choice because my modem is the same for telephone and Ethernet.

I could configurate the airport in another place inside my house, but without the Ethernet cable. When I put my aiport back with the cable and modem the connection is lost. I can see the airport configurated, but when I try to join the message is "timeout" I can't connect to my airport.

Any solutions for this?

Tks

I am sorry, but the only solution that I can think of is to try a very long Ethernet cable from the electronics store and move the AirPort Expess as far away as possible from the cordless phone. Check with the store to make sure that you can return the Ethernet cable for a refund if this is not successful.

I had a similar problem at my house and had to change to different types of phones to solve the problem.

Take a look at a pair of Ethernet Powerline Adapters.

One adapter plugs into the wall socket near your modem and tthe other adapter plugs into a wall socket near the location of the AirPort Express. The "ethernet" signal is trasnported over the AC powerlines, so you don't have a long Ethenret cable running through the apartment.

Again, make sure that you can return the devices if they do not work, if you want to try these.
