trying to update apps but invalid address keeps popping up

Recently every time I try to purchase apps or update apps on my iPad a badge pops up saying "Invalid Address tap continue to sign in" I hit continue and my address is correct, but my credit card 3 digit code is missing. I enter that and tap done I then try to update again and the same invalid address badge pops up again. This problem just started this week and it's very frustrating. I tried changing my password and now I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 4. Has anyone seen this or have any advice? Thanks

I had this same problem lastnight. I was on the phone with apple for about three hours attempting to fix this. Tried three different CC from two different companies and that did nothing. Took out all the CC info from itunes by selecting NONE for a CC and attempted to download a free App to no avail. Final Fix……..The apple tech on the phone suggested that I put in my neighbors address, which was four digits off from mine, and it WORKED. The system auto-corrected to my address and all was well. I hope this helps all that are having this problem. Not sure why this worked, but it fixed it for me.

Worked, took me a while to figure out what happened, but it looks like iTunes decided that my street name was no longer valid if it included "DR" but instead now wants it listed as "Drive" even though in my credit card account the street name is listed as "DR". Exactly the opposite of what one of the commentors did to fix their issue. Go figure ....

And what a colossal waste of time this was trying to figure out what happened. I've had my iTunes account for 7 years, been using the same credit card, been living at the same house with the same address been using the abbreivated DR in my account, and all of a sudden Apple decides my address isn't good enough for them? I was also on the phone with Apple support and they had no idea how to fix this either ... in this case the left hand is not connected to the right one.

Same problem. It's outrageous the amount of time I've spent on this. The last app update I did was on May 2. I've changed all my credit card data, used the code on the back of the card multiple times, and my iPad, iPhone, and laptop are unable to connect without getting into the maddening infinite do-loop of "Invalid address... to Account... to update App, to Invalid Address..."

Thirty minutes with Apple just got puzzled comments asking me to go back into the infinite loop. Then to send a note to Apple Support, which I've done, with no answer yet a day later.

I don't have time for this...

keep in mind that every time you have to punch in your CC Security Code iTunes hits your card with a $1 authorization that will fall off, but in my case I have not pinned down the address error and my CC company put a hold on my card due to the number of iTunes hits in a row.

Now I'm afraid to try again for a while... As far as I can tell there should be no errors.

Went on line and found that I had "Apt 3" on my credit card account, and #3 on my Apple account. For a couple of years it worked, and then Apple quietly changed the rules, apparently on ~May 5, without telling us. It would have been so much better, and saved a lot of time and frustration, if Apple had published the coming change. Apple should still put out a note as I know there are others stewing over this problem, or about to...
