trying to update apps but invalid address keeps popping up

I thought i will share, for me it was splitting house number and street address in two lines.

Any idea how to fix this with accounts that don't have Credit Cards on record? I mainly use iTunes Gift Cards to purchase items from the Appstore.

I looked and my bank had my street address with the abbreviation "ST." while apple had "ST" without the period. I changed this in iTunes, and voila, now everything works. Looks like somebody made a clumsy change to the code.

My info matched what my bank had exactly and I was still having the problem. Then I decided to play with the abbreviations of different parts of the street name and found that 'Lake' needed to be 'Lk'.

I pulled my credit card from my iTunes account and am now using a Gift Card. Funny thing is I was still getting the address error after removing my credit card completely and trying to use just the Gift Card. So it doesn't have anything to do with what your bank has, this is a format issue on Apple's end.

Looks like you can't just go and buy stuff with your device anonymously anymore. Apple requires a valid address for every transaction.

Now having this problem with p.o. Box... An only solution I've found is to remove the CC entirely and input a street address..... Wow hope there's nothin I wanna buy soon

Exactly. I have no credit card. And now suddenly I cannot download even though I have not changed any details. It keeps saying "invalid address". Can Apple help?

OK, i figured it out, seems its the way they are formatting the addresses.

What i did: Changed "Court" to "Ct"

I don't have a credit card on file as i'm not in the US.

So just try that, whatever you ahve in your address field Road or Rd, change it to the other one.

I don't even have a credit card on my billing information, I have a gift card from itunes and I had to change my address. I changed it to the same address my bank has and it worked!......Don't see the point but hey no more invalid address message! 😉

Just Fixed! Turns out my phone number was 1 digit off....

Why would apple start going that strict on addresses?

I have been having this pop up message starting this morning and it is beginning to really annoy me :@ ! And have tired to write my address in multiple ways as you people suggested but the thing is I do not use any of the credit nor visa or master card I am depending on my iTunes gift card ! But I tried purchasing a song from iTunes and it easily did that I have not been having a problem buying " in App " packages at all I a, having trouble only with the App Store ! Plz Apple do something !
