You can launch iCloud.com, enter your Apple ID (iCloud) username and password, click on the arrow button and see if your data have saved on the iCloud, so that you can recover deleted files on iPad.

If you have iTunes backup, you can restore them from iTunes backup. Go to your iPad > Summary > Restore Backup.

If the files are included with your iPad's backup - you synced your iPad with iTunes before the files were deleted and you haven't synced your iPad with iTunes since the files were deleted, restore your iPad with iTunes from your iPad's backup. Do not sync your iPad with iTunes before doing so, and when prompted to update your iPad's backup as the first step after selecting Restore, decline this prompt.

Ignore that 4 year old post. It was made b a spammer trying to get you to buy crapware that would not solve your problem. A kindly host left the post, but removed the link to the crapware. The post makes no sense without it.

Does iCloud backup help with this? I only just noticed this setting (in iCloud) on my iPad.

I accidentle deleated sOme pictures from my ipod touch i really get them back using this data recovery for mac purchased from UFUSoft. And ipad is supported too.

do you have backup? if yes, then you can use. otherwise you may try ****** program.
