I've been trying to setup my T522 network printer with my OS X 10.6.7. All I get when I try to print is a busy indication. I can get control of the printer through the IP address and all seems fine. Also I just got it to work through my PC first time. Thanks

I've reset all printer network settings.
Do I need to activate Appletalk or is this now not used?
Did you get drivers from the Lexmark website?

Is "wired" via USB or ethernet? If USB, you may need to run the printer through a powered hub to keep the power up. Looks like you have to use an optional ethernet card with that model--a great solution if you have it.
I think Appletalk is dead for higer versions of OSX.
Yes. I've got all the latest drivers. I have tried so many different combinations in the printer setup, my brain is spinning.
It is all via ethernet with a Marknet n2001e. I have tried DHCP on and off / Fixed IP address. I am preusming that the queue name is what Lexmark call Hostname or name.

Finally after much trial and error I found that using the HP Jetdirect - Socket in the add printer / System Preferences worked. I had been trying LPD with no luck. Also the queue name was my IP address with underscores like : _123_456_7_89.
