How to send email from abroad

Nope, use my iPad all the time from home. Emails are delivered direct into the little envelope box (!!!!!) and I cand send a reply that way. It's ok with my personal gmail account as I can just go in via gmail direct but not my work account. Same on I phone too with wifi. I am in this crazy situation of having to copy all of the email into my personal account, I then apologise for sending from my google and hope even though it looks totally unprofessional.
Help please. Everything else is great but this is a real problem as I am away for about 15 weeks a year......

The same way you send it from home.
WiFi no problem but if you have to send the email via 3G a local micro sim card would probably be cheaper than the overseas roaming prices charged by most ISPs..

No idea really of what you wrote.
Make sure Settings > Mail > (select an account) Outgoing mail server has the username and password sent.
That is usually what prevents outgoing mail from being senrt.

Ok, you want to send from your work account when you are abroad.
How do you send from your work account when you are at home?
Must you be in the office?
Can you send from your work account when you are in a coffee shop?
Is this a big office? Ask someone from your it department.
Robert
you need to change your SMTP settings. This is why you can receive but not send. Wherever you are staying when away, ask the hotel for there SMTP settings. Depending on their service provider the details will be different.
If you were visiting NZ for example, the two main internet providers are Telecom NZ and Vodafone, so your outgoing settings would be something like
smtp.xtra.co.nz (for telecom)
smtp2.vodafone.net.nz (for vodafone on a ipad)
