"Module not found" in Apple Mail

Hi all,

Many times when I edit a new message in Apple Mail, images do not appear after I drag them to the new email. Instead, a sentence appears. My System is in Spanish language and I haven't had the chance to see it in English but it is something like "Module not found".

This message, instead of attached images, appears randomly so it's very difficult for me to say why is this happening. It happens in some emails I receive so I have to ask them to send them over again. In some emails received with this problem, the images appear time after if I check them back again.

I deleted and added again my email accounts, but this didn't help. I use MobileMe and Gmail.

If someone in this forum can help me or has got a clue about this, is very frustrating as I'm a graphic designer and there are attached images in almost every email I send or receive.

Thanks a lot! 😍

Hi Carola! I'm like you are one of the thousands apple mail users that are still waiting for that response.

I don´t know why Apple with thousands of users that manage graphics and images (from designers to photographs) still has not answered this question.

I am in the same situation, and appeareantly there's no quick fix for that.. some forums refers to be an error from the "MailWebPlugIn.webplugin" file that is inside the apple mail package content App.

I hope some one at Apple can answer us why sometimes the images disappear showing just a "module not found" text instead... let me know if you could fix this issue by your own

I called AppleCare and until now the only solutions were try composing a new email in a new user, create a new account, delete the existing accounts and configure Mail again. Next step is deleting and reinstalling Mail but I don't know if it will fix the problem.

I will upload an image of the problem, maybe someone will recognize it, it is QUITE disturbing!

If you can fix it, also please let me know! 🙂

Hola Carola!

That's what I'm talking about! I work as a Graphic Designer and it's quite absurd how I can not appreciate the images my clients send me to show changes or reviews inside the email's body.. it's not just sending but reading the images the issue remains.

You like me (as many) don´t have enought time to reset or re-install the entire operative system (where the Apple mail is packaged) to fix such a basic problem.

Apple had closed other discussions like this one with no response.

-La verdad no entiendo que exista este detalle tan básico para un ordenador hecho para el sector creativo- 😕

Estoy creando un hashtag en twitter #modulenotfound a ver si consigo algo por ahi.. Saludos desde Madrid

That's my problem too.

I would be happy just knowing a solution no matter what it is or what I have to do to fix this. Even I'm happy if "the problem is known and will be fixed" if they explain to me what is happening. I work with graphics and Mail is VERY important day to day, not to mention I send and receive 20 emails everyday just to send and receive a lot of changes and corrections to graphic contents. Just the same that happens to you.

Hope some experienced user or someone related with Apple will shed a little light over this because it's driving me nuts! 😠

Regards from Mallorca / Saludos desde Mallorca! 😍
