Push Notifications Are Not Working

I tried but still not working! I change the DNS but still not. Pls. Help me!

OK - I have just changed the DNS settings to the google DNS servers as suggested by andres273 and I started to receive FB push notifications straight away. I am not going to get too excited just yet as I have heard that the notifications can start and then stop again, but these are the 1st notifications the app has sent in ages so is it a conicidence? I hope not. Thanks in advance :-)

Ok. My wife and I both have the iPhone 4 running the iOS 6.1.3. My wife's phone suddenly stopped notifying her when a text message would come in. Before, where she would get an audible tone letting her know she had a text message, now she would only receive the number of texts on the badge icon in the home screen. If, however, she had the text app open and received a text, the audible notification would work. I went online and found that many iPhone owners had similar issues. I checked everything from the Bluetooth to the Do Not Disturb setting with no result. While checking in the notifications tab under general settings, I noticed the "In Notifications Center" would not come up. Instead, it appeared as though it was trying to load, but was somehow stuck (I got the swirling circle next to the In Notifications Center heading at the bottom). I tried performing a hard reboot with no success. Finally, I went to General-->Reset-->Reset All Settings. This DOES NOT delete your apps or media. It only resets the settings. After resetting and allowing the phone to reboot, the problem was fixed. My wife was immediately able to receive audible text notifications. FYI, this problem only occurred with her phone. I have the same exact phone without having an issue. I cannot explain why the issue occurred or why it only affected her phone. I hope this helps.

Thanks much for this tip. I had the same issues - notfifications from watsapp, email, fb would show up on the lock screen, but NO SOUND alerts. after i reset the settings under general->reset, it seems fine and m able to get sound alerts even when phn is in sleep/lock mode.

These issues are supposed to be fixed by apple not us, seems like everybody's experiencing these issues with new upgrade, It ruined my day, I also have coverage problem, since I upgraded to ios7 my phone is out of reach most of the time ! I knew Apple is gonna screw something up

Facebook fixed this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go into settings on your iphone facebook app

Go into notifications

Mobile push

You will see something that says turn sounds on at the TOP!

There your done!

thanks for the responce, but its not the facebook, I dont care about facebook, its my social apps, such as viber, tango, whatsapp, sometimes I recieve notifications, sometimes I dont, and everytime I open the app I recieve an error asking to connect to itunes to get notifictions, its a bug, I tried everything to fix it, but its not working, there is something wrong with the update and apple need to fix it, I have tried connecting to itunes and sync my phone but still receving the msg

and its not only me, or my decieve I have like 5 apple diveces and 3of them have the same issue, 2 are working fine though,

I'm having the same issue, mines not getting push notifications for these 2 devices. Other one I returned was working fine I shouldn't have switched it!! Is anyone having the same issue?? At times I don't receive it and other times I do. This is happening for both wifi & mobile data

Basically I couldn't receive my push notifications on my ipad until I went to:

facebook app>settngs>notifications>email notifications> and I ticked option: ALL NOTIFICATIONS, EXCEPT THE ONES YOU UNSUBSCRIBE FROM!

Then I could tick or untick any PUSH NOTIFICATIONS settings! And since then I had no issues with receiving push notifications.

my push notification was not working over wifi. i have change my wifi DNS as described and now push notification working fin.

Try this: Go to Settings - Wifi... then in DNS field write the following: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

Thanks this really worked. Wonder whats the cause of this and how changing the DNS for the wifi solved the problem.
