If the keyboard is a bluetooth keyboard, it should work. If someone here doesn't have direct experience with this, don't get rid of the keyboard before you get your iPad, which you probably don't want to do anyway unless you plan on getting rid of your Palm device immediately after getting an iPad.
Palm has made a number of wireless keyboards and not all of them were even compatible with all of the different models of Palm handhelds. Different model keyboards required different drivers based on the OS version of the handheld. The one you have may well workwith an iPad or it may not, you will need to try. But I would not get my hopes up.
I can tell you that the Apple BT keyboard works a treat with my iPad 2 and the two look smart together.
I know this is a late reply, but I figure it might help others. I've got a Palm bluetooth keyboard and it works great with my ipad. Page down, home, end, etc. all work well. Obviously the keys relative to Palm menus don't do anything, but everything else works perfectly. Plus it folds up a lot smaller than the apple keyboard.
Go to the bluetooth section of your settings on the iPad. Press the pairing button on the keyboard. Select the keyboard in the bluetooth components on the iPad and it will ask you to enter a 4 digit code on the keyboard. Enter the code and you're good to go.
If the portable keyboard is a bluetooth keyboard, have you tried pairing/connecting the keyboard via Bluetooth with your iPad?
I don't have an iPat YET, but will soon. Just wanted to know so I don't get rid of the keyboard when I get rid of the TX.
How did you get it to work. I have the same situation. How do you pair them?
Thanks
