I suggest that you peruse this forum for problems with Ccleaner, you are lucky not to have had any.

I'll give that a go csound. I have recently bought an external harddrive and backed everything up using time machine, so if anything goes wrong at least I can reboot

Thanks everyone for your replies concerning removal of Mackeeper. I feel a great deal happier doing my own thing rather than using Mackeeper.

That's what I thought I was doing. I fell hook, line and sinker. I can't tell you how miserable I feel! I thought I was doing a good thing and now many years of my families life is gone.

Run it and post the report here. After analyzing the EtreCheck report we can tell if you managed to get rid of MacKeeper.
