Kernel panic after Cisco AnyConnect establishes connection

My Macbook Pro 15" (Early 2011 - the one with Thunderbolt port) constantly kernel panics whenever Cisco AnyConnect establishes connection.


The panic tends to happen in the first ~30 seconds after connection is established.

Some details:

Macbook Pro 15" i7 Early 2011 (the one with Thunderbolt)

Cisco AnyConnect version 2.5.2019

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Anyone still having issues with this? Since I've updated to El Cap (10.11.3) and Any connect 4.2.010350, this has become a real pain. I've even changed mac books and am still having the issue, so this isn't a hardware issue. Happens (semi-reliably) when I am on battery, then come out of suspend and connect.

Given that there are over 5000 views here, I'm guessing this isn't an isolated issue.
