I was having the exact same problem and after searching around on the internet on how to fix this problem, it was by chance that I discovered what was causing my mouse to drop out all the time. Its the type of batteries you use, I noticed that when I used the Energizer advance batteries my mouse would work a dream only ever dropping out when the batteries were becoming flat. I then put in a pair of eveready super heavy duty and thats where the problem began, always reapeadtly dropping out. so I dont know why but I happened to have each of these batteries lying around together and noticed a size different in length between these two types of batteries. The Eveready Batteries are actually shorter in length this is why the mouse was always dropping out, the battery was not long enought to support the connection to the mouse. Once I placed the Energizer advanced ones in they fitted in alot more tighter and as they pressed down more on the two ports the connection to the mouse was greater and it stopped this problem!
