SATA III SSD only performs SATA I in MacBook Unibody late 2008

I have a MacBook Unibody late 2008 with a OCZ Vertex 3 SATA-III SSD installed.

The Macbook Unibody late 2008 supports up to 3 Gigabit speed (SATA-II port).
The OCZ Vertex 3 supports up to 6 Gigabit speed (SATA-III).

BUT:
although the SSD is able to perform at SATA-III leve (6 Gigabit)l and the MacBook Unibody late 2008 is able to perform at SATA-II level (3 Gigabit) the MacBook only performs at SATA-I level (1.5 Gigabit). 😟

How to change this so that adequate performance (SATA-II leven = 3 Gigabit) will be achieved???

Thx,

SpaceDoc

ps: of course latest Mac OS X (10.6.7) installed.User uploaded file

OCZ SSD's have problems with older and some newer MB's.

Although you'll have fast access than a normal drive, your link speed will cap you at 1.5 because of the controller of your mb and the chipset of the ssd.

Intel, Crucial and Kindston drives are much better for older MB's.

If you're noticing a speed increase, then don't worry about your link speed.
