Recording Video

I have a new MacBook Pro (Purchased on 4/30/2011) came with FaceTime camera (not iChat camera), I am trying to record a video on the Mac, but it appears that none of the program (FaceTime, iMove) can Record video. All help would be much welcomed.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), iPhone 4, iPod U2 Special Edition, iPad (WiFi Version)

Hi,

You should be able to use the FaceTime camera to record video into iMovie. Click on the camera icon. This should bring up the capture window. If the internal camera is not the default, select it in the drop down.

Quicktime 7 also allows you to record video. Select File>New Movie Recording and a capture window will open with the internal camera as default. Again if it is not go to Preferences>Recording and select Video Source.
