Safari problem: won't connect to gmail

(says it's "unsecured") but Safari connects perfectly to all other pages.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies


Delete all Google / Gmail related cookies.


Quit then relaunch Safari. Try accessing Gmail.


If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset. Quit then relaunch Safari.


Try Gmail. If you continue to see the "unsecured" dialog...


If you haven't tried this, you can setup your Gmail account using the Mac Mail app. That way you won't have to use Safari to access web based mail.


Open the Mac Mail app. From the menu bar click Mail / Preferences then select the Accounts tab. Click + and add in your Gmail account details.
