Can i use 240 FPS camera with imovie 11?

I am looking at a fujifilm camera which is capable of shooting speeds of up to 1000fps. it also does 240fps and 360fps. but i dont have any fancy software on my mac, just imovie 11. its not a professional camera by any means, but i was wondering, if i import video footage shot at 240fps into imovie, will it work? or do i need to buy some new software?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

No, iM doesn't handle such kind of material ...

Give the free tool JES Deinterlacer a try, which allows to convert resolution and frame-rate...-

Any frame rate over 60 is just a gimmick. In this case, it is for creating slow motion movies (at very low resolution).

So, while it's fun to play with for 15 minutes, you have no practical use of any kind of those frame rates.
