I opened my touch this morning and found an icon that I did not download labelled "social" It is a folder that automatically put my facebook icon in it and other social icons. I like it and would like to know where it came from and if other folders are available for utilities, gaming, etc. does anyone out there know? thanks

It sounds as if you made a folder. If you press and hold an icon on the screen of your Touch until the icon wiggles and drag it over another icon, a folder will be created. iOS tries to give the folder a relevant name. If, for example, you dragged the Facebook icon over the Twitter icon, the default name for the resultant folder would be "Social". The device won't make folders by itself, though. Someone had to do it.
Thanks Meg. You were right on. I guess my grandkid was playing with it and made this folder for me. I have played with folders and am very happy to say that I have created many other folders with the appropriate apps in them. This is so much better than 6 or more pages of stuff.
Sounds very much like the sort of thing a grandkid would do. The trick now is going to be keeping them from rearranging your icons just for fun!
