GB for iPad does not support bluetooth, and it's doubtful that it ever will since the latency would making playing instruments virtually impossible.
still, it can't hurt to let Apple know what you want:

Thank you.
In new version (1 june 2011) GarageBand supported bluetooth device.
The old version did play with bluetooth as long as you opened another application like Pandora and then launched GarageBand. The new version of GarageBand does not do this. Sure would like the old version of GarageBand. I use a bluetooth receiver with my sound system. GarageBand sounded great.
Do bluetooth headsets work with GarageBand on Mac? I'm having difficulties. Keep getting the message:
"Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI.
Sample Rate 8079 recognized.
Check conflict between GarageBand and external device."
I'm running Mac OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion.
iPad does connect via Bluetooth. Connect bluetooth device to ipad. Go to Tools in Garageband and enable "airplay"
GarageBand for iOS 2.0.x (iPad): Use GarageBand with AirPlay, Bluetooth, and HDMI devices
