Dec 14, 2012 1:18 AM in response to Drtreegirlby Fred273427,I suggest you try an app called Fulcrum. The user is able to create almost any data collection Form you wish and it is very flexible as to the type of information collected.
it has a website where the forms are created and the data is collected for later download. The data is synced to the website from out in the field. It only costs $20/month/user. If the account is not going to be used for a few months it can be "parked" at no charge and then reactivated later when needed.
The website is http://fulcrumapp.com for a tour of its capabilities.

Sep 18, 2013 8:27 AM in response to Drtreegirlby jbgallag,iFormBuilder.com has been doing data collection apps for iphone and ipads for years-- right now we have just updated for iOS7. If you are getting started with mobile data collection, this is an easy app to use, and it collects the data whether you are offline or online, then it syncs once it is in a wifi area.
You can also take pics, use mapping create multiple forms-- well I'm biased, but you should check it out how it helped an environmental engineering firm: https://www.iformbuilder.com/blog/dudeks-environmental-research-and-wildlife-act ivity/
Oh yeah, we also work on the "other guys'" smart devices!

Nov 20, 2013 9:03 AM in response to Drtreegirlby Jonathan Freeman,FormEntry for Mac is now freemium, all you need is a Mac and FormEntry Touch installed on your iOS devices:
http://www.widgetpress.com/formentry
There's no subscription, no log in and it's not HTML web forms. It even works offline from the Internet. One of the cool things is the ability to map the form values to your existing PDFs.
Cheers!

Apr 7, 2015 1:01 PM in response to Drtreegirlby natsfofats,I would check out Greyswift (greyswift.avadine.com) -- it is for iPad though, not iPhone. But has all the features you are looking for and more. It syncs the data to your PC wirelessly, no need to email. You can get a free trial and try it out for yourself.

Jun 21, 2016 2:05 PM in response to Drtreegirlby GroundControlToMajorTom,We use Spotter at work. We're an oil & gas company so it's mainly used for in-field inspections and to stop having to fill out paperwork.
I've been using it for 2 months now and it's saved me dozens of hours that I would have had to spend filling out and filing paperwork. I absolutely love it!
It works on both iOS and Android devices.

Jul 6, 2016 3:40 PM in response to Templeton Peckby Bunnyslippers,@Templeton Peck: Do you think only the original poster is going to see this thread? You were searching for something when you landed here, right? So was I. Perhaps this thread didn't address your specific question, but when you find one that does, which would you find more useful: responses from 5 years ago or responses posted in the current year? That's what I thought.
