Logic Pro V Logic Studio & Final Cuts etc

Really? Has Pro just gone recently? Its all intertwined in Studio now I take it. Yep I was thinking maybe the Final Cut packs were more for movie editing and production. Thanks for your answer on this.

Thanks mate. My worry was that Pro/Studio was all about the Amps & Mainstage (Something I may not really use) But if it also has much more intruments and plugins then I guess its worth it!

Do you think a mac mini like mine OS X 10.5.8 is capable of running Logic Studio ok. Or do I need to focus more

on upgrading my Mac first and then the software. Not that I have the money hahaha

Money, its always problematic, I personally deserve alot more of it hahaha.

Yeas its 2GB. But Im told you can buy another two 2GB cards and insert them in

the mac. Giving it ultimately 4GB. This is a cheap way of upgrading that. It has duo

core processor. I actually got really stung with my mac. When I ordered there had

been a new updated model released and of course they sent me the old one to get

rid of stock! I was naive at the time.

So its best to have an Imac or Mac Pro (dreaming) but it can be done with a souped up

mac mini untill I have the money to upgrade to an Imac or what ever?

I am really serious. Id love nothing more than the best of equipemtn because I would

use it and get so much more done so much sooner!

Thats interesting. I was led to believe Express hadnt evolved a lot since. But if it has it may just be the right pacakge for me. As I said I wouldnt really be looking to use main stage and other things Pro seems to be selling itself on.

My disk space is already nearly full, It only had a 75GB to begin with. I was wondering was there anyway to increase this or am I just better off spending my money on a Mac upgrade??? I was thinking of increasing the Ram to its maximum of 4GB also wondering would that help.

I was also thinking Id have to completely un install express and then install Pro or what ever I chose to buy. I wonder is this what people do when up grading as you'd be taken up massive amounts of space!? But then I guess u lose a lot of the instruments etc that I would have liked to incorporate to Pro from the old Logic (if thats possible).

I do have a 1TB Hard Drive. I now try bounce all my projects through it but Logic Express was originally installed on my Mac. And Im finding that the 1TB is filling up super fast with my projects. My Internal hard drive is like nearly maxed

Ahhhh I dont know. Im not educated enough on all this & everytime I go to make the up grade I realise more consequences or problems prevent me. You can stand to make a lot of mistakes and waste money when your technically naive, but musically driven 😟

Someone suggested just there that I could install a new hard drive into my Mac mini and there very cheap, they said a 320gb cost them 50euro and it was really easy to install.

If this is possible do you think I could do it this way?? Whether Express or Pro I guesss this might be a good move econimically. My only caution now is Express doesnt come with all the jam packs and I think Pro does.

Ive been told my Mac Mini can actually take a 500GB Hard Drive! So thats even better 🙂 Only problem is: Apple, here in Dubin, want 480 to supply the hard drive & 4GB of ram and intall it!! I could buy the parts myself for 90!! I was gonna install them myself untill someone reminded me about the "Operating System" & Data Transfer!! I wouldnt know how to put all my info from the old disk onto the new, Nor how to put Apple's operating system onto a blank disk! So once again a new problem. Thanks again for your help on this its really appreciated!
