when i try to listen to pandora radio or play youtube, it won't play sound without me using the headphones. how do i enable the built in speaker, i mean whats the point if you can't use them : (

Youtube & Pandora are fine through the speaker on my iPad1. Does anything come out of the speakers when you use any other app? (Games, iPod, Netflix?) If no sound, then perhaps the switch that detects when you have headphones plugged in is stuck. Try plugging in the headphones a few times. I've had to do that on my cellphone sometimes and thankfully it's just enough to get the switch unstuck.
And I think the iPad remembers the volume for with and without headphones. So after unplugging the headphones, check the volume again.
How do I listen to music without headphones but through the built in speaker.
