Hello, me again... I think I may have found out the issue for most of the posts here. It's easy to overlook...
While the "Exclude videos" can be the cause, more than likely it could have to do with the fact that some of us shoot and have chosen to save in both .jpg and .raw. And further, when we import, we might only want the .jpg or only the .raw files. To do that, we would select, under "RAW + JPEG Pairs", either "JPEG files only", or "RAW files only".
The problem now becomes obvious as the word "only" would of course mean that it would exclude the .mov files.
But I'm not letting Apple off so easy. I think some additional selections should be available as currently, it would have to be a two step import process if you only want the .jpg or .raw files and videos...
1) Select the "JPEG files only" or "RAW files only" in the "RAW+JPEG Pairs" section of the Import Settings
2) Start the import.
3) Select any selection in the "RAW+JPEG Pairs" section EXCEPT for the ones mentioned in step one.
4) Select "Exclude photos" in the "File Types" section (You should now only see your .mov files).
5) Start the import again.
I hope that in the mean time, this will help.
