Apple wired keyboard cause unwanted wakeup from sleep

Hi,

when I want to sleep (either by keyboard or power button) Mac mini, the computer enters sleep.

Unfortunately, after a few seconds, the computer wakes up without interference.

I've tried all the recommended procedures to fix problems with sleeping/waking without success.

When I disconnect the keyboard and press power button, the computer falls to sleep and remains in sleep.

When I connect this keyboard to another Mac Mini, this is also self-awakening.

Please, can anybody help me with this strange problem?

Thanks

I take it nothing else is plugged into the keyboard?

Have you checked to see if the computer is detecting a specific key as being pressed?

(apple menu, system preferences, Language & text, input source tab, check Keyboard Viewer, check show input menu in menu bar, go to the menu bar, click on the flag, chose show keyboard viewer) if a key is flickering, or dark gray, then the computer thinks the key is being pressed.

As I noted above, computer goes to sleep by every way - power button, sleep timer, shortcut or menu.

But remains sleeping ONLY with keyboard unconnected.

Problematic keyboard worked well for many months until recently.

Same situation is on another Mac mini.

With another keyboard (from old PC) everything works fine (except hibernating shortcut, of course).

After a lot of narrowing down, I've determined the same problem -- wired keyboard preventing sleep -- but on an iMac. The problem intensified to unacceptable levels after installing Mountain Lion. OK, so the USB hubs on the keyboard (unused) are the cause. Is there a solution without switching to a different keyboard? I prefer this one because of the alphanumeric keys and not having to change batteries.
