iTunes downloading video podcasts to tmp directories

Recently, my iTunes has started downloading all video podcasts to the iTunes Media/Downloads folder. Each item is in a .tmp folder with the filename being download.mp4. Why is it doing this? It used to move them to the iTunes Media/Podcasts folder (for podcasts), now it just leaves it in the downloads folder. Audio podcasts still get moved to the podcasts folder, they do not remain in the download folder. And when I delete the podcast from iTunes, 50% of the time it removes it from the iTunes library but the file still remains on my disk, and doesn't get moved to the recycle bin. Running iTunes 10.2.2.12

Seem to be having a similar issue. Has started just recently so something must have changed although I'm not sure what. Maybe a Windows update has broken something?

Download any content from the store, it'll appers in the download folder but is never renamed or transfered into the correct sub folder.

" iTunes/Downloads/content_name.tmp/download.m4v "

Disabled Anti-Virus / Firewall to no effect. Don't think there has been any other system changes that would affet this aside from windows updates.

Windows 7 64bit SP1 running the same 10.2.2.12 build of iTunes.

I have the same problem and recent versions of itunes sometimes will not play video podcasts (they will play fine in windows media player) all I get is a black screen.. I've tried deleting the file then go into potcasts select the podcast in quesion then show all available and redownload it .. sometimes this fixes the problem. sometimes not. The biggest problem is that the podcast videos remain in the download folder/potcast name/download.mp4 .. only if I turn off "keep itunes folder organized" and turn it back on will I get them into the podcast directory with the right name. I have lost episodes since I don't do this every day and the 'download.mp4' gets overwrittern
