Aiport Express/USB-Ethernet Adapter
I want to use a USB/Ethernet adapter to plug into by Airport Express base station. Will this allow me to connect my Direct TV box to my network?
Airport Express-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

The USB port on the AirPort Express will only support a compatible printer and Keyspan remote control, so it cannot be used to connect to your DVR.
Thanks Bob. 😟
I use the AE to feed my Direct TV box Ethernet connection all the time - what is the problem ?
Its feed wirelessly from the Airport Extreme main unit in the middle of the house. In fact I have two Airport Express and an Apple TV which I move around as I need to depending if I am at the mancave or in the main house or our back by the pool, in fact I am ordering another A Express so I want have to move em around,
however - I would like a cheaper ethernet wireless connection to my three direct tv boxes, not at 99 each , since I dont need the USB and Audio for just the direct tv's . I am checking compatibility now and will go to best buy tommorow to try some ,

You probably are not trying to come out of the USB port on an AirPort Expess (which will only support a compatible printer) to a USB to Ethernet adapter and then on to the DVR.
That is what the original poster was asking about.
Exactly. I thought I could use the USB port with an Ethernet adapter but I cannot. I am going to experiment with using a switch however. The thought of paying 99$ for a direct tv wifi adapter just blows my mind.
