If you are referring to capacity of the internal hard drive, then no, there will be no network speed advantage to doing so.
No that's not what I'm asking. Let me try again. From time-to-time my network seems to be operating slowly. I've checked my download speeds on my internet service and it's performing to spec. What I'm wondering is whether or not the version of Time Capsule that I have (320MB) is as fast as the Time Capsules that are being sold now. Mine is several years old and I don't know if the one I have operates at the same Ghz level as the new ones.
All versions of the TC, except the very latest, use the same antenna system for its radios. I'm not aware of a 320 MB version of the TC, only 500 MB, 1 TB, or 2 TB. Only the latest version, that uses the updated antenna is capable of 300+ Mbps bandwidth speeds ... so, potentially, replacing your older TC with the latest model should provide better bandwidth performance.
