iPod audio water damage HELP PLEASE

OK... so i was getting in the shower, and had the iPod (touch, 4th Gen.) on the toilet with the music playing as always. Well it slipped off the toilet, and into the shower for 3-5 seconds. the music immediately stopped, and i turned it off quickly. Finished my shower, and like an idiot turned it back on. i go to the music and the volume bar doesnt show up, witth or without headphones. So yeah, basically my iPod took a 5 second shower and now the speaker AND headphones wont work. How can i get this fixed?

iPod touch, iOS 4.3.2

I would check with a third-party repair service. It will be cheaper. Some have flat-rates for water damage. I have link to them in the link below.
