Are there any good external GPS receivers to use with my WiFi only iPad 2?

I know of no way to connect an external GPS to an iPad without jailbreaking the iPad. Bad idea.
Check the following link:
Only did a quick Google Search so, I don't know much about it. Can't give any opinion on quality or how well it works. If you do get an external GPS, would be interested in your opinion.
That is cool. It even has a free iOS app in the iTunes App Store;

Too bad it is 100 bucks!
This article says a wi-fi iPad can get GPS from a tethered iPhone. Perhaps other brands as well.

As I know, there are at least two GPS receivers (bluetooth) compatible with Apple products, which doesn't need the jailbroken device.
GNS 5870 http://www.gns-gmbh.com/index.php?id=194&L=1
and
XGPS 150 http://xgps150.dualav.com/
I'm currently seriously thinking about GNS 5870 (because the XGPS is just in USA, not in Europe 😕).
yessssssssssssssssss
If you have an iPhone and use tethering, then according to http://www.cultofmac.com/wifi-only-ipad-2-gets-gps-when-tethered-to-iphone/86642 the GPS data is sent from the iPhone to the iPad. (Although it's worth noting that the GPS refresh rate is every couple of minutes, which may limits it's use).
I have an iPhone 4 and iPad 2, I'd tried that and it didn't work well..
Hi,
Looks like the bad Elf GPS is the device. Will have a better look at it but the comments are very promising. 99 dollars is not bad if it works as well as the feedback states.
Many thanks for the suggestions.
I use apps like trapster and waze on my WIFI only ipad.
mine works perfectly now.
with these three items:

http://www.inreachdelorme.com/product-info/what_is_inreach.php
this might also work instead of the inreach........
iiOS 8.3 update disabled all external GPS's from working with iPad. Yet another strike by Apple.
