My dock and top menu bar disappear when I am using Firefox

When I am using Firefox 4 my Dock and the top of screen meu bar disappear (similar to a Hide) but will reappear when I click my mouse on the desktop. It really annoying! I can't minimize the Firefox window into the Dock for later use at all! Any way that I can make this stop?

just an addition to any folks still having this problem, like me. i;ve adopted a makeshift solution, which is, if the menu bar and dock vanish, go to finder, force quit firefox and reopen, which solves the problem, until the next time, which in my case is intermittent enough for this solution to be OK. oh, and to get the dock back so as to force quit once firefox has disappeared it you just click on the screen, though once you click on firefox again it'll vanish.

...and thanks from yet another grateful victim for the <info.plist> file modification, saved me as well!

I'm on FF 25.0.1 (OSX 10.7.5), and I *never* had this problem before.

I might mention the following, for all intents and purposes:

just before I noticed the problem for the first time, I made a LONG screen recording of video playing on a site opened in FF with Quicktime (about 80 minutes!)

I have no idea how, but I'm pretty convinced there's a direct link between the two events...

Anyway, WARM THANKS to mcgregork again!!!

This started happening to me the other day. I did the plist.info edit hack and that worked, but just for a day. Then it went back to no menu bar and dock the next morning. I then used the "Force Quit" method which worked fine. Then I started thinking about what might have caused it...I believe that it is tied to the fact that I was watching Netflix in full screen mode and closed the MacBook when my show was done...with Firefox still in Full Screen mode. I get to work the next morning, connect it up to my external monitors, open up my MacBook and Firefox is confused and I run into my menu bar/dock problem.

I have a feeling that if I exited full screen mode in Firefox BEFORE I close my computer, everything would be fine.

Does this possibly coincide with what other folks have seen?

BTW, the Force-Quit solution is quick and dirty...and Firefox comes right back with all your tabs. :-)
