No, there is no way to do this at the moment.

Well if you look at my first post I was absolutely civil. Because my overall thought on this differs from yours, you guys mocked me, which I don't care about. I'm far above this and you guys as well as you can see the ridiculously lame comments that have been replied to me. I'm 33, I have an iPhone 3G, 4 and an iPad which my kids who are 9 and 5 use. I don't care if they see what I purchased because there's nothing embarrassing available on the iTunes store to get, other than maybe a dating app. I dont know what embarressing apps you could be getting, but id love to know what wicked little apps are available i dont see in the app store. Either way I couldn't care any less about this whole subject and why you keep commenting I guess I'll never know. My initial post was mocked for no reason and I replied. Your forum rules mean little to me. My life doesn't revolve around this. Apple knows that this small problem isn't a preferred thing and I'm sure they are working on it. I'm sure they aren't leaving it just so you guys can have a reason to rant and start arguments with people online over. Again, if you feel the need to complain, do it in a forum that they will actually check related to NOT LIKING this new feature. Most of the people on these forums need to grow up. I'm only replying cause this is the only non derogatory reply ive seen since I posting in your "friendly" community. I agree, changing passwords or accounts is not the way to go. Sit tight, chill out and apple will allow you to delete icloud history soon enough.

Latch,

Glad you took me up on my olive branch. I don't think anyone was being condescending or derogatory towards you, but some of us do feel pretty strongly abut this issue.

There are no "Complaints" forums, but as you might imagine these conversations can get pretty heated up. It's good to take it all with a grain of salt, and pounce only when it's really necessary.

To be honest, I think the FAIREST things would be that if Apple DOES offer a complete delete of an App off iCloud, IF you tried to download the App again, you would need to purchase it.

I say this because if Apple allowed the deletion a purchased app from iCloud, it makes things VERY complecated in knowing who has downloaded what.

Amazon allows Kindle owners to permanently delete books out of their archived items so the archive list doesn't become cluttered over time. It doesn't seem to be an "overwhelming" problem for them, so I don't see deleting purchase history as a major issue for Apple either.

Haven't you ever gone through a pile of books or other collectables stacked in the closet and given a bunch away to Good Will because you're just not interested in them anymore? The same should be possible in "the Cloud" for Apps and Books I no longer want hanging around.

It's not hard to do at all. Apple just needs to implement the feature, with the disclaimer that once an item is permanently removed from history, it would have to be re-purchased to bring it back. No different than if after you give a book away to Good Will and you decide you wanted it, you would have to go out and purchase another copy.

What works in "real life" should work "in the Cloud" as well.

im no expert on this but I was speaking to someone in Apple technical support about another issue and I mentioned it in passing. She was very helpful and I suggested someone like her ought to pop a reply into this forum to help people out. Anyway, dont shout me down if this doesnt work, but she suggested that people who want to keep their Purchase History private can do so by placing a restriction on the Ap Store page. Would this help at all? I didnt really get into exactly how you do that but she seemed to think it was very possible and I think she said you could have a passwored etc. The other thing she said, for people like me who just dont like a history of old unwanted and deleted aps cluttering up the history, was to send a note in their feedback section where, apparently, you can request to have such things removed from your account. Whether that works or not I dont know, but I thought I would just post the thought here in case. Perhaps people in this post have tried this already, in which case apologies. At the moment Im just ignoring the purchase history but I can see why other people might be more concerned about privacy matters.

Unfortunately I updated my iPhone yesterday as well and have now the same issue.

All the old App stuff which I installed in the past and meanwhile removed from my iPhone jammed now the App-list history. It is o.k. that the purchase history will be shown within the iTunes Store but NOT on my iPhone.

At least there should be the chance to switch this history off on the iPhone.

The Apps I use are installed on my iPhone - all old stuff is no longer insteresting for me!

how to delete purchased Appstore history?
