Sorry if I appear dense but when I go into the quick links under purchased, all I see is a couple of videos and some music - no apps.

All the apps showing in the folder above that are ones which are currently on my device(s) and not ones which I have downloaded and deleted. So where do I find the purchase history?

So I don't know if someone already said this because quiet frankly I don't feel like searching through 6 pages of "I don't know but I would like to" and "Apple needs to do so & so".. Here's an HELPFUL answer. You can't permenatly delete apps, but you CAN hide them.

1.Go to iTunes, click "iTunes Store".

2.At the top click "App Store", and once it loads, scrol all the way down to the bottom where there are a bunch of links.

3.Click "Purchased" under "Features".

4.Once the Purchased page comes up, Click "Apps".

5.Then find the apps that you want to hide, and put your cursor over the icon and an X will show up at the top left... CLICK.

And you're done.

I do see that the "Hide" option was implemented. I also understand the potential need to keep the history of purchased apps; however, is there a possibility to have an opportunity to permanently delete free apps? The are some free apps that were downloaded on my account and deleted right away. I do not want them and I never will. They were never purchased and I really don't want them in my history. Could the please be an option for permenant removal of unwanted free apps? Please?

Like I said, there is no way as of right now to permanently delete apps from your account. Hiding them is the same as deleting them from your list because it does just that, it removes them from your list and hides them in a list in your account settings that you can only reach if you sign in on your computer. So honestly, unless someone is looking for your unwanted apps, they will not find them accidentally.

What would be awesome is if they could allow you to choose a "Status" for each App you have purchased. You could choose "Active" which would keep the App in Sync, make it easily accessible for download/installation when you choose not to use it, and so on and so forth. OR... You could make the particular purchase "Inactive". Inactive App Purchases would be moved to a seperate list out of sight and out of mind. If you ever wanted to retrieve the App you could simply go into the list of Inactive Apps and Activate it. The Sum of the two lists would be your purchase history, so that solves the problem you mentioned, if it was really a problem to begin with. You'd think it wouldn't be too difficult to keep a permenant purchase history that the end-user has no access to, and making a list of purchases just for the end-user that he/she can modify at will.

Dan amazing suggestion, I hope someone from Apple will read it and start acting on it, cause it is so annoying to receive, updates in your itunes for programs you don't even have anymore on your iphone or ipad. If anyone reads this post and agrees, "Like" DanGreene post, maybe Apple will notice a big demend on that issue....
