iPhone 4 is not activating with iOS5 beta (with developer account)

I do indeed have a developer account for iOS which isn't due for renewal for another 3 months.

The iTunes message is

"We're unable to complete your activation. This device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program. If you are a member of the Program, please register your device in the iPhone Developer Program Portal"

I can't find any page to register my iPhone in the iPhone Developer Program Portal.

Is anyone else having this issue?

What I had to do to avoid the problem is :

2 days before releasing iOS 5 on the public market, apple released the iOS 5 final state GM in the Dev Center, where it was possible to download it, and did the same as the beta, a restore from that released iOS 5.

And seems like it still works good for me...

I went back on the dev center this morning, because my boss got the problem with his iPad, that I have installed the beta for testing an app :/, but they removed the iOS downloadable file... "We should go through iTunes... but iTunes is to silly to detect that we are in a beta mode and that we want to upgrade to the GM version"...

If at least they could put the iOS released file back, we could restore from it .....

We'll see what Apple will do.. they're probably working on that right now..!

This is obviously a bug from Apple, for those of you who are looking for a different way other than restoring your iPhone from previous backups, your doomed. Apple expects you to use one of the many automatic backups that you already have in iTunes, there is no reason for some of you Not to have a backup. So just restore the **** thing and stop worrying about losing information. It's all there.

In my view this is totally unacceptable from Apple. The situation I have is that I gave my wife my iPhone 3 when I upgraded which had the beta of ios 5 on it, she has entered all her contacts from her old phone which is now gone but never connected it to iTunes, therefore no backup.

The simple and in my mind correct solution is for the activation to either say "IOS5 is available to everyone so why the need for the developers licence check" and authorise everyone or for the dev licence check to correctly ring home and activate the phone as it should do.

This is the last time I ever help Apple out with testing a new version of IOS

What would be nice is if someone from Apple actually made a comment about this issue, even if it is only "we are aware of this issue and are looking into it." and offered the correct steps to restore the device or advise people to wait as they are working on a solution which means you do not have to lose everything.

Apple need to remember without the developers of all shapes and sizes, the iPhone would not be where it is now, if there were no apps then there would be no sales. We pay more for iPhone development licences than for other mobile systems, the requirements and limitations on the apps allowed are more restrictive than other development licences and we, as developers and the people who helped test IOS5 before they released it, are left scrabbling around for a solution to a problem created by Apple. Yes I am aware of the beta licence that says it should not be tested on a critical device but from what I can tell even people on GM seed are having this problem. By GM seed all problems should be resolved and the OS should be at production stage and be safe to use.

Apple need us more than we need them, so come on Apple, give us an official line on this problem
