iPhone 4 is not activating with iOS5 beta (with developer account)

Does anyone have an answer to this problem ?

* Why does it say the device is not registered when it is?

* Why not just say the beta has expired, if that is the case?

* Why does iTunes insist I have the latest version of iOS and refuse to update?

* Why expire a beta anyway? Woud it really be the end of the world if someone kept using one past the GM date?

Same problem, overnight restore... no prior warning... I now have a useless phone. Not sure I'll take another Beta version going forward.

I had the exact same problem but I managed to fix it. I did the following thing:

- Restore (In Itunes)

- When you click restore it is downloading the IOS 5.0 official release

- After resetting it with the IOS 5.0 I could load my old backup (Had to reput all my music and apps...)

- THAT's IT

It did not work for me but I installed the las beta version of iTunes and now it is downloading the new ios 5 firmware, I think it's the solution :

* update itunes

* restore

OK..I got it.

You have to go to (http://developer.apple.com/ios/manage/devices/index.action) delete the device from your registered device list.

Then restore the device in itunes (back up first) and the device will load with the official release.

This is obviously a bug affecting those who have iOS 5 beta and could not download the final version.

The question is: how to put this as a top priority at Apple's Support Department and make them take their engineers out of bed to find us a solution ASAP, since this puts us all in a phoneless situation?

Yeah having the same problem here with iPod Touch Photo. Had problems around midnight.

I am having the same problem and I even cannot backup my phone. I have some very important information in it and I really don't want to restore without backup.

I'm affected too. My participation in the Apple Developer Program is valid until 2012. It's just ridiculous since the iOS5 final is publicly available so no need to check my Developer Program Membership at all....

Same problem. My IPad has been displaying this message and like others, I am unable to back up before restore. Any clue on how I can back it up?
