Well i could suggest something ! If u go to settings>general settings>icloud, den choose the option to delete account ! While doing tht it would ask you to save ur details on phone or remove,u shld be selecting yes,and after tht u could possibly sign in wenever u want ,i have personally tried this but this doesnt clear the list but no1 would know abt the apps you downloaded from app store as next to it would be written "install" and after the procedure it would show "free"
Well if u find it risky and ur iphone is full of paid apps then dont take the risk ! Well i tried to help_:)
Great news.....you CAN remove the history or atleast hide it for good. When you are on your recently purchased page that list your apps purchased, touch your finger on the left side of a rectangle that you want gone and gently swipe your finger to the right. After you swipe from left to right a red box will come up that says hide where it previously said installed or has the cloud downloaded sign. Touch hide. The apps that you have chosed to hide will temorarily dim until you close our of the i store program. When you go back in and choose purchased. The hidden ones are no where to be seen. HOPE THIS HELPS!!
I can't seem to get this to work I have iOS 6 not sure what I am doing wrong? Please help. Thank you.
Same goes to me too. After i upgrade to IOS 6, i cant hide the purchased history.
I am having the same problem as tmnoble21 and ThomasWong. Seems like an IOS 6 problem....anyone have an updated solution or do we have to wait for IOS 6 to get updated?
that and you can "hide" it
-----------EDIT-------------
actually, you can just sign out
Open iTunes on pc and plug in iPhone, press purchased on left hand side and press Download Previous Purchases at bottom right. Touch app to be deleted and press X top left corner of app.......it will be deleted after you sync your phone.
Thanks ! That did the trick (they removed the swiping with the little red button on iOS, so this is now the only ±new± way)
This is the way to hide an app from your history now:

Cheers
Does it work on,iPods
Why can't I get swipe and hide to work?
That was removed in iOS 6.
I purchased some items within an app but I want to refund them but there is no refund button within the app can anyone help?
Doesnt work
Hiding apps isn't working on iOS 7.1
I think most people download free apps more often than apps that you pay money for, simply to try them out like browsing a web site. The issue of not being able to clear the history of apps you have downloaded in the past is more about the convenience of not having to scroll through a large list off apps you have already deemed not useful. Apps are an easily accessible visual that took the place of website book marks which allows you to customize your internet experience. Not being able to hide or clear apps from your history seems to take away our ability to personalize our device and internet experience.
To avoid the monetary issues of people deleting apps they have paid for, I suggest that apps downloaded for free should be allowed to be deleted from the app history.
