There will be OS X Lion on CD, or only in the Mac Store?

I want to know if Apple will create also CD's of the Lion OS X system or if only the people will be allowed to upgrade their systems downloading the installer the Mac App Store.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

You forgot to ask me why I was asking about users without Internet access as my presence here prove that I have such an access.

Thanks to prove your egoism.

I have the ability to eat at every meal, why would I think to those which haven't?

Seems that you forgot that these forums are designed to allow us to help other users, for instance those which haven't internet access.

To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

It seems you also forgot that OSX Lion is still an unreleased product and you are speculating on what will happen. When OSX Lion is released and Apple has done nothing to help those who may require the physical media, then by all means, the forums could be a place to help them out.

But http://www.apple.com/feedback/ would be the best place to voice those questions directly to Apple.

Nobody knows yet. I cannot believe Apple's position is, if you don't have broadband for a 4 GB download, they don't want you as a customer. If not, there will have to be an option (likely at a small extra cost) for a DVD or USB stick.

When the actual release date is announced, there should be more details.

Let's not get paranoid just yet. 😉

Read the software license that comes with OS X, especially the section titled "Consent to Use of Data."

Apple already reserves the right to gather certain personal info about the users of its OS, including info that would tie users to specific machines.

Apple doesn't need the Mac Store to do this. If you are using OS X legally, you have already consented to furnishing this data. If that bothers you, you should not be using OS X at all.

Your tin foil hat needs an adjustment. And turn off that Tesla coil in your attic. It's putting out spurious frequencies.

Go and watch the WWDC 2011 Keynote. They were VERY clear ... ONLY IN APP STORE ... AND NO DISCS !!!

I've watched it 3 times to make 100% sure I wasn't imagining it.

They did not say "maybe we'll have a disc version" ... clearly said NO MORE DISCS and ONLY IN APP STORE.

... so excuse people "jumping to conclusions" but how else is one supposed to react to statements directly from Apple like that ???

I'm not sure that the best kind of supporters which Apple need is what we call in France "Lêche-bottes" (and I choose the polite version).

Leaving users in such dubiousness is really unpleasant.

But the worst isn't that, it's that to be clear, some of you are saying : "no problem, I may use a fast internet service so all is the best, shut up."

Such selfishness is absolutely sickening and one more time I took care to use a polite word.
