Some music I purchased is missing from the cloud.
I went to purchase history under my account and the music shows up. But when I look at Purchased on both iMac and iPad iTunes it is not there for me to download from the cloud.
iPad, iOS 4.3.2

Same here.
On the french iTunes Store, there are lots of songs I can't redownload (even entire albums or artists sometimes).
The songs count displayed in the artist list is correct, but the number of displayed songs for each does not always matches.
Out of my 1323 bought songs, there are only 788 I can redownload, according to the iTunes Store. I've contacted the support on this, still couldn't manage to have a consistent answer on this matter.
Same problem here.
Some purchased albums of Indian music are not in the cloud but are still being sold by the itunes store.
I have a theory about this. Could you all please check this? I have just sent the following email to my contact at Apple:
Hi Younus,
I may have noticed a pattern.
It would seem that the majority of the music which I am missing is that which costs £0.79. I have spotted in several albums where I bought songs that those which cost me £0.99 are still available from my purchase history to redownload, where those which cost me £0.79 are not.
I hope this will help you get to the bottom of the problem and would appreciate an update when the matter is rectified. In the meantime, I will continue to back up my music manually.
Examples of missing tracks:
"Disarray" and "Easier To Be" by Lifehouse. Purchase number: xxxxxxxxxxxx at £0.79 each are not available for me to redownload whereas "Broken" for which I paid £0.79 IS still available for me to redownload from my purchase history
"Broken Hearts, Torn Up Letters and the story of a Lonely Girl", " 4am Forever" and "A Town Called Hypocrisy" by lostprophets. Purchase Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx at £0.79 each are not avaialble for me to redownload where as "Rooftops" which I paid £0.99 for IS still available for me to redownload for my purchase history
The album "Rocky Balboa: The Best of Rocky (Remastered) allows me to redownload every track (all at £0.99) with the sole exception of the first track "Gonna Fly Now (Theme From "Rocky" )which is THE ONLY track on the album costing £0.79. Purchase Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I don't think is a co-incidence so would appreciate you feeding this back to Apple and seeing if this is a problem in other people's cases as well. If there has been a change in Apple's billing systems or something else this could be what has triggered this issue. This only started becoming an issue for me personally a few days after iOS5 was released so if anything changed at Apple's end around this time this could be to blame.
Could you please update me once you have fed this theory back to the business / engineers?
Thanks,
Mike.
Hi !
Looks like a pattern on a few incomplete albums I've checked in my purchase list. Nice catch.
However, there are still entire albums that do not respect the "song price" pattern. Maybe "album price" pattern ? I've checked and couldn't find a proper rule on the appearance of albums in my purchase list…
Thanks,
Pascal
My iphone software was updated when I synched. All my music I recorded was deleted and 144 of my songs purchased from itunes are missing. I downloaded albums from the cloud but only have tracks 1, 3, 5 ,7 or 2, 4, 6, 8,. 555 downloaded but purchased shows 699 and 144 not on my iphone. How do I download /find missing songs??
Hello,
I've been in touch with the iTunes support team for a while about this. After a few mail exchanges they asked for a few information to reset my iTunes' account password a do some "testing". Anyway, they contacted me today to tell me the problem was solved and it is : I can now download all of my purchased articles.
I managed to download my songs following an updated download of my iphone software from Apple. However it deleted all appointments in my calendar.
Everything back to normal for me! I didn't pay attention to it for a couple of weeks but checked again today and TADA! Everything's there. 🙂
Downloaded my appointments from the icloud (allowed access through utilities). So now all good.
Not for me. I have a whole album I can't download. I haven't checked any others, it's just the one I wanted to download. Man, and I thought things were going to be better with the iPhone (from an Android).
I'm in the US and I'm missing so many downloads. My house burned down and everything in it. Doesnt matter what you back something up to until its up in smoke. Any who, there are dozens if not hundreds of purchased songs not appearing in my Purchased Screen for me to redownload from the cloud. Any suggestions?
I'm experiencing this issue as well. I have the problems with songs and TV shows. I reported this to Apple some time ago and was told that I would have to go through and make a list of all the missing songs and shows along with the order number to fix the issue.
As Apple has a record of all the purchases (I can see them in my purchase history), it makes sense that Apple should be able to reinitiate the transfer of the data on affected accounts to fix this.
Has anyone been able to get Apple to do this?
I decided to report one of the missing items. I provided the name of the missing show as well as the order number and simply got back a canned response about how to download previous purchases. This seems to be the way problems reports are usually handled. I don't think I've ever had one where the problem report was read all the way through the first time.
A pre-order I just made never showed up in my Purchased Music list. It downloaded when it was released, but isn't in the "purchased" list. Also when I viewed it on my iPad or iPhone in the iTunes Store, it showed as being available for purchased (gave a price) instead of saying "Purchased". I tried "purchasing" it again, but was told I had already purchased it and to download it in the "Purchased" section. The price then changed to "Purchased", but it's still not available in the "Purchased music" page.
What's odd is that it shows up in iTunes Match as "purchased" and I can download it there, but I shouldn't have to pay for iTunes Match to download purchases from the iTunes Store.
Also strange was that the album downloaded to iTunes on my PC twice when released. I have no idea why it did that.
It's still showing as being available for purchase in iTunes for Windows, but then I think that's normal.
Like you I do not see anything for music in I-Cloud, only everything else. I am trying to recover a puchased song from I-Cloud, but through the store it lists the purchase with no option to download again. It shows it has been downloaded.
