After I upgrade to Lion OS will my applications still be there?

I would like to know that, if I upgrade my OS to Lion will my application still be there or it's going to be like totally new??? Cause I am afraid that the items that I have purchased will not be able to use again. Thankx

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Most certainly the upgrade process would leave your data and applications. Applications provided by Apple would be upgraded to current versions.

Were you able to print without issue in 10.6.x? What printer are you using?

You could try removing the printer, getting the latest driver from the manufacturer and try that instead of the Lion supplied one, re-add the printer and try again.

I've also discovered a long kb on Adobe's site regarding printing problems and InDesign though it may or may not be of any help:

In the meantime, if you need to print and the issue hasn't been resolved, I'd suggest exporting to pdf and printing from there.

Yes, I was able to print just fine before I upgraded to Lion. I'm sure the problem is not the printer, though, because I can't even get far enough to choose a printer, and my home printers (HP Color LaserJet 2600n and HP Photosmart C7200) are working fine with other apps in Lion (Adobe and otherwise). I can certainly export to PDF and print from there in a pinch, but in my work environment, where I use a Lanier multifunction printer, I really need some of the functions InDesign offers, such as the "Print Booklet" feature. I'm hoping I'll find someone through these forums who has experienced — and solved — this issue. I will check out the link you provided, however, just in case it sheds some light on anything.

Thanks!

HELP! I'm in BIG TROUBLE & need some help. I did not see anywhere stated that Office for Mac 2004 was incompatible with Lion. I just finished upgrading to Lion and now my MS Suite wont 'work. I get the message "You can't open the application Microsoft_____ because Power PC applications are no longer supported". Ahhhhhh......I use Entourage for my email and the whole family uses Word & Power Point. My hard drive is chock-full of Excel, Power Point & Word files...not to mention 100's of saved emails and addresses in Entourage.

What can I do?
