iPad 2 won't connect to wifi

My iPad 2 won't connect to my home wifi. I have tried resetting, restarting, everything and nothing will work. I just got it yesterday and it worked fine. I can sign into my home wifi network and the wifi bars show up but I can't open anything because it says I am not connected. Please help!!!

I have had this problem now on more than one occasion and the first time I "fixed it" I don't really know what I did
because I ended up trying EVERYTHING including completely re-setting my iPad and removing all content etc.

However, today I think I found out more about my problem - I had tried removing security settings from my network but my iPad2 would still not connect (despite my laptop and iPhone both connecting fine !! I reset my network security settings again and that caused my laptop and other devices to "drop out" of the wifi network. This time I tried connecting my iPad 2 as the FIRST DEVICE and that worked.

This is not an ideal solution of course but I will try that again next time if it happens again. Hope this helps some of you !!

I have also had this problem. Tried resetting iPad2 (IOS 5) wiFi settings etc. Other iPhones, an iPad3, and several computers were connecting and working fine but the iPad2 and a Toshiba Win7 32bit notebook would not connect. The problem turned out to be the DHCP setup on the modem router. I had only issued 10 leases, and with increasing numbers of devices, there were not enough leases available to connect everything at the same time. Connection was chance, first in got connected. Increasing the DHCP Leases from 10 to 20 fixed problem. Hope this helps someone else.
